For battery recycling, Lyreco recommends the ERP Battery Recycling Scheme.
ERP is one of the UK's largest battery compliance schemes and its battery producer members are responsible tor around 30% of the batteries sold in the UK. Lyreco have been IS014001 certificated since 1998 and a large part of maintaining this certification is compliance with current and future environmental legislation. To fulfil this legal obligation and assist the UK targets tor battery recycling, Lyreco and ERP will enable our customers to return and recycle their spent portable batteries safely and legally free.
Recycling, step by step
We recycle a variety of items and each one is treated differently to ensure it’s dealt with in the most appropriate way. For our customers, however, the process is easy…
1. Order
Simply order the required recycling service via webshop, or contact your Key Account Manager/Customer Care Team. You will then receive the appropriate box or bag to collect the used products or packaging. Once this is filled, simply let Lyreco know when items are ready to be collected.
2. Collect
Our Lyreco driver collects the items for recycling at the same time as making the next delivery – reducing fuel emissions by completing two tasks in one journey.
3. Recycle
From here the various types of recycling go the relevant processing plants, and are recycled accordingly.
