Lyreco Partners with OneGreenThing to Empower Climate Action
Lyreco UK & Ireland is proud to announce a new partnership with environmental non-profit OneGreenThing, an organisation dedicated to transforming eco-anxiety into positive action through small, joyful daily habits. This collaboration strengthens our ongoing commitment to sustainability through the Lyreco Goodness programme, which champions doing the right thing for people, the planet, and the communities we serve.
As the climate crisis continues to affect lives across the globe, people — especially younger generations — are increasingly impacted by eco-anxiety. OneGreenThing was created to address this very issue. The charity’s mission is to empower individuals to take just one manageable action each day to support the environment and boost their mental wellbeing. These actions, while simple, build momentum and contribute to real, lasting cultural change.
Founded by author, speaker, and climate leader Heather White, OneGreenThing brings together her experience working with global organisations and her passion for public mental health. Her belief is that climate action doesn’t have to be overwhelming; it can be empowering, community-driven, and even fun.
To kick off the partnership, Lyreco and OneGreenThing have launched the Lyreco Goodness Service Superpower Assessment, a free tool that helps users discover how their natural strengths align with different types of climate action. Based on personality traits and preferences, participants are matched with one of seven Superpowers: Sage, Beacon, Spark, Philanthropist, Wonk, Influencer, or Adventurer. Each role represents a unique approach, from educating and advocating to connecting, exploring, or supporting others, and suggests one area you can focus on.
After reading OneGreenThing by Heather White and learning about the work the OneGreenThing charity does, I straight away saw the links with Lyreco Goodness. Lyreco Goodness is about doing the right thing and enhancing social value within our wider community. Young people are impacted by many global issues. With Lyreco partnering with our education customers, it’s important for us to help support young people and our customers in tackling these wider issues. OneGreenThing helps everyone, not only young people, to act in a positive, joyful way that leads to a bigger culture change. Having done the Superpower Assessment, I was deemed to be an INFLUENCER, which highlights my strength in connecting people to their cause and inspiring them to act, grow, and change their behaviour. Hence, letting our customers know to look for further communications on the great work Lyreco UK and Ireland is doing with OneGreenThing.

I’m really excited to be working with Heather and the OneGreenThing team on supporting young people to reduce their eco-anxiety. There are lots of aspects of this project that will align with our education customers and young people, but also all our customers. At Lyreco, we have been working to reduce our impact on global issues, as well as support customers in enhancing social value, for many years. This generation can’t leave it to the next generation to fix, but we also need to prepare the youth of today to be leaders of tomorrow. The great thing I enjoy about OneGreenThing is making sure we include fun in this journey, as well as celebrating achievements.

This year and into 2026, Lyreco and OneGreenThing will be working closely to deliver tools, campaigns, and activities that help employees, customers, and the education community take meaningful steps toward sustainability, while supporting mental wellbeing at every stage. The goal is not just to act, but to create a culture where everyone feels empowered and equipped to play their part.
