Our integration of a circular economy will help us achieve our sustainable goals. It is also a response to increasing customer demand for integrated sustainable business products, solutions and practices.
Eliminating waste
Across the globe, the standard current economy uses natural resources and, eventually, turns them into waste. At Lyreco, we believe in challenging this linear process. In a circular economy, we will stop waste from being produced.
Its three driving principles are:

- Circulate products and materials (at their highest value)
- Regenerate nature

By committing to the following, Lyreco will help its customers drastically reduce non-recyclable waste in the workplace and, ultimately, reduce their impact on the environment.
We are continually looking to introduce new recycling services for our customers.
…or products made from materials that can be re-inserted into the end-to-end value chain criteria for recyclability
Provide end-of-life collection and process used materials back into the manufacturing chain.
We add zero plastic packaging to orders.
Maintaining our zero waste to landfill for all of our sites.
5% reduction in total waste (tonne per pound of turnover) year on year.

Plastic-Free
Lyreco is working with Telford Council to set up a Plastic-Free Community accreditation set up by Surfers Against Sewage.
