Terms and Conditions for 2025 Safety Catalogue Win a Life-saving Defibrillator (AED) bundle.
Unless otherwise stated or agreed by Lyreco in writing, the following terms and conditions apply to all competitions run by Lyreco as promoter (the Promoter).
1. How to participate
- The Promoter is running this competition between 00:01 on 15 September 2025 and 23:59 on 31 October 2025.
2.1 In order to enter this competition, go to:
https://why.lyreco.com/lyreco-intersafe/safety-catalogue-2025-26-win-a-life-saving-defibrillator-cabinet/ and submit the information requested, including your written entry explaining why your community would benefit most from receiving a defibrillator bundle.
2.2 All entries must include your name and email address.
2.3 Entries that do not comply with these terms and conditions will be void and will not be entered into the competition.
2.4 This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with any social media channel. You are providing your information to Lyreco and not the social media channel.
2.6 You must opt-in via the competition entry button to be entered into the competition.
2.7 You may only submit one entry to this competition. Entries over the maximum number of entries will be void and will not be entered into this competition.
3. Start date
3.1 The start date for receiving entries into the competition will be 00:01 on 15 September 2025.
4. Closing date
4.1 The closing date for this competition will be 23:59 on 31 October 2025. Entries received by the Promoter after this time will be void and will not be entered into this competition.
5. How to enter the competition
5.1 To enter the competition:
5.1.4 enter the competition online by submitting the online entry form provided on the website by the Closing Date.
5.2 The Promoter will not accept:
5.2.1 responsibility for competition entries that are lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit, regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any postal failure, equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind; or
5.2.2 proof of posting or transmission as proof of receipt of entry to the competition.
5.3 By submitting a competition entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions.
5.5 The competition entries will be judged by a panel of judges appointed by the Promoter. Entries will be judged on the basis of:
- the most impactful story about their community; or
- the clearest and strongest message demonstrating the value the defibrillator bundle will provide.
The decision of the panel of judges (acting reasonably) will be final.
5.6 The Promoter will send the full names of the judges to anyone who writes within one month after the Closing Date of the competition requesting details of the judges and who encloses a self-addressed envelope to the address set out in clause 12.1.
6. Selection of the winner
6.1 The participant who, in the opinion of the judges, provides the most impactful or compelling entry will be chosen as the winner.
6.2 The winner will be contacted via email at the email address provided on entry and will be asked to provide a postal address to receive the prize.
6.3 The winner of the competition will be selected from all entries submitted in accordance with these terms and conditions.
7. Prize
7.1 The prize is as follows:
- 1 x MEDIANA A16 Fully Auto AED & Cabinet (£1,876.96 / € equivalent), or
- 1 x MEDIANA A16 Semi Auto AED & Cabinet (£1,847.10 / € equivalent).
It is the winner’s decision which option they choose. The prize may be delivered in person by Lyreco UK Ltd and/or Reliance Medical Ltd, or posted at the Promoter’s discretion.
7.2 The prize has been sponsored by Reliance Medical Ltd.
7.3 The Promoter reserves the right to replace the prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control make it necessary to do so.
7.4 The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and there is no cash alternative.
7.5 The prize may be delivered in person by Lyreco UK Ltd and/or Reliance Medical Ltd. The winner may be contacted to arrange a convenient delivery date, and photos may be taken during delivery for marketing purposes.
7.6 The defibrillator is covered by a 5-year warranty from the manufacturer.
8. Restrictions and requirements
8.1 This competition is open to residents of the UK and Republic of Ireland aged 18 years or over only.
8.2 Employees of the Promoter and their immediate families are ineligible to enter this competition. Only one entry per household is allowed.
8.3 In entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim the prize. The Promoter may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the competition.
8.4 To be eligible, entrants must be following Lyreco Intersafe UK & Ireland on at least one of our social media platforms: LinkedIn Lyreco Intersafe UK & Ireland, TikTok (@lyrecoIntersafe_ukie), or YouTube (@lyrecoIntersafe_ukie). Entrants must provide their name/handle for the platform followed.
8.5 The winner must agree to register their defibrillator on The Circuit – the national defibrillator network (https://www.thecircuit.uk/) following receipt of the prize.
9. Notification of the results and receipt of the prize
9.1 The decision of the judges nominated by the Promoter is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
9.2 The Promoter will notify the winner by email at the email address provided on entry on or before 30 November 2025. If the selected winner does not respond to the notification within 28 days and provide a postal address for receipt of the prize, the prize will be forfeited, and the Promoter will select an alternative winner from the remaining eligible entries.
9.3 The prize will be delivered or posted to the winner within 60 days of providing a postal address or arranging delivery of winner confirmation. Delivery may be made by hand or posted at the Promoter’s discretion. The winner may be contacted to arrange a convenient delivery date.
9.4 The Promoter must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation the Promoter will send the surname and county of the prize winner and, if applicable, a copy of their winning entry, to anyone who emails [email address] or writes to [address] (enclosing a self-addressed envelope) within 60 days after the Closing Date. If you object to any or all of your surname, county and winning entry being published or made available, please contact the Promoter. In such circumstances, the Promoter must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
10. Publicity and personal information
10.1 By entering this competition, you agree to your personal information being used to process your entry, to contact you about your entry, and for the purposes outlined in clause 10.2 below. The Promoter will use your personal information only in accordance with these terms and conditions and our Privacy Policy – https://lyreco-literature.lyreco.co.uk/5936/70805/index.html.
10.2 The name of the winner may be published on Lyreco’s social media channels. If you do not want your name published as a winner, please email wise.mkt.digitalmarketing@lyreco.com prior to the closing date of the promotion.
10.3 You may be asked to participate in publicity relating to this promotion if you are selected as a winner.
10.4 If you need to withdraw from this competition, we ask that you let us know as soon as possible. Please email wise.mkt.digitalmarketing@lyreco.com.
11. Ownership of competition entries and intellectual property rights
11.1 All competition entries and any accompanying material submitted to the Promoter will become the property of the Promoter on receipt and will not be returned.
11.3 You agree that the Promoter may, in their sole discretion, make your entry available on its website and in any other media, whether now known or invented in the future, and in connection with any publicity of the competition. You grant the Promoter a non-exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable licence in perpetuity, for the full period of the intellectual property rights in the competition entry, to use, display, publish, transmit, copy, edit, alter, store, re-format and sub-licence the intellectual property rights in the competition entry for such purposes.
12. General
12.1 The promoter of this competition is Lyreco UK Ltd. Our correspondence address for the purpose of this competition is Deer Park Court, Donnington Wood, Telford, Shropshire, TF2 7NB.
12.2 The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries not successfully completed due to a technical fault, technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, satellite, network or server failure of any kind or site or internet failure or interruption.
12.3 While nothing in these terms and conditions will limit the Promoter’s liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence or for fraud, the Promoter will not be legally responsible to entrants or winners for any losses that were not foreseeable to the Promoter or to the entrant at the time of entry to the competition or which are caused by a third party.
12.6 These terms and conditions and this Competition are governed by English law. If any entrants to this Competition wish to take court proceedings, then they must do this within the courts in the United Kingdom.
